Estelle Benfield Coker, 87, of Plum Branch, SC, died Friday, February 3, 2012, at Hospice Care of the Piedmont-Greenwood, SC. Born March 1, 1924, in Elk Park, NC, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Sanford Henley Benfield. Estelle was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Spartanburg and a retired Registered Nurse. She graduated from Bowman Gray Nursing School, Winston Salem, NC, in 1946. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Grahl of Plum Branch, SC; son, John S. Coker of New York; grandson, Robert Lee Grahl of Athens, GA; and her forever son-in-law, Robert Lone Grahl of Evans, GA. She was predeceased by a son, Walter George "Rusty" Coker III. The family will receive friends 2:00-2:45 PM Friday, February 10, 2012 in the First Presbyterian Church Parlor. A memorial service celebrating her life will follow at 3:00 PM, in the chapel of First Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. Ansley B. Page.
