Era Riser

Era Scott Riser, 87, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Dillon Pointe. Born February 16, 1926, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Clifford Scott Sr. and Naomi Blanche Goodyear Scott. Mrs. Riser was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Surviving is her husband, Walter Glenn Riser Sr.; daughter, Sherran Sisk and her husband Jerry, and daughter, Nancy Odom; son, Glenn Riser Jr. and his wife Lisa; son-in-law, Glenn Smith, husband of predeceased daughter, Kathy Smith; 10 grandchildren, Scott, Amy, Mandy, Kimberly, Stephanie, Trey, Cory, Chad, Robbie, and Phillip; 11 great-grandchildren, Madison, Noah, Cassidy, Claire, Caroline, Zeb, Wren, Archer, Lily, Paige, and Jake; sisters, Ella Neil Holden and Naomi Fain. She was also predeceased by a sister, Jean Pitt; and brothers, Joseph Clifford Scott and Gibby Scott. Visitation will be 1:00-2:30 PM Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. Michael T.
