Enid Dunn

Ms. Enid E. Dunn, 85, formerly of Cowpens, went peacefully home to the Lord on Thursday, February 24, 2011 in Gaffney. Born August 25, 1925, in Walden, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Elsie VanLueven Dunn. She made Poughkeepsie, NY her home for over 75 years. Enid graduated from Poughkeeepsie High School and attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She shared her life with Martin Habinowski, who predeceased her, with whom she raised their four children. She loved being a mom and homemaker. She worked for The Office of the Aging for over 20 years as a payroll clerk and retired when she was 74. She is survived by her son Stephen (Donna) Habinowski of Hollywood, FL; two daughters, Julia (Donald) Wyant of Cowpens, SC, and Karen (Miles) Prescott of Poquoson, VA; two sisters, Dottie (Earl) Thitchener of Camden, SC, and Pauline Elliot of Napa, CA; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her youngest daughter, Diane, who always held a special place in her heart. A celebration of life visitation will be held 11:00 AM-1:00 PM Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
