Emma Lawrence

Emma Lawrence, 92, of Inman, SC, died Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Inman Healthcare. Born June 2, 1921 in the Pacolet area, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Era Wilkins Osteen and wife of the late Hugh Dorsey (Pete) Lawrence. Mrs. Lawrence was a former textile worker with Spartan Mills, a member of Browns Chapel Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was devoted to her Lord. Surviving are her children, Marion Kirby (Shirley) of Greer, SC, Sheron Newton (Larry) of Taylors, SC, Ann Greenway of Inman, SC, and Jeff Kirby (Rhonda) of Inman, SC; eleven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Sina Green of Boiling Springs, SC; brothers, Herman Osteen of Pacolet, SC, Pete Osteen of Pacolet Mills, SC, and Harold Osteen of Spartanburg. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 Monday, February 3, 2014, in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Gary Greer. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside.
