Emily McKnight Pack, 90, of Spartanburg, passed away peacefully March 23, 2025, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Emily was born in Darlington, SC, on April 26, 1934, the daughter of the late William Taft McKnight and Ida Conyers McKnight.
Emily was a devoted wife to the late Joe Pack for 57 years, mother to Joel Lynn Pack (Kathy), Cindy Pack Hall (Scott), and Chadwick Paul Pack. She was also a proud grandmother to Joel (Jake) Pack Jr. (Krista), Jamie Pack Flewelling (Curtis), Jonathan (Jonny) Pack, and Ross Hall. She was blessed with four great-grandchildren, Josie, Levi, Landon, and Liam. She is survived by her brother Frank McKnight (Bobbie).
Emily retired from Phelps Dodge after 35 years. Emily was a member and very involved with Beaumont Baptist Church and her Sunday School Class. In addition to attending church, she enjoyed the annual beach trips, monthly Wednesday lunches and monthly trips to the Lake Bowen Fish Camp. Emily faithfully volunteered for over 20 years at Spartanburg Mobile Meals, preparing plates each Friday morning for distribution to the community.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, March 28, 2025, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 2075 E. Main, Spartanburg, SC 29307, followed by a visitation at the graveside. Services will be conducted by the Rev. John Lee.
Pallbearers will be Jake Pack, Jonny Pack, Ross Hall, Steve McKnight, Michael McKnight, and Reggie Pryor Jr.
Thanks to all the folks at Spartanburg Regional Hospice for visiting her at home and caring for her over the past several months. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to Beaumont Baptist Church.
