Elsie Ezell

Elsie Mae Upton Ezell, 72, of 231 Douglas Street, Glendale, died Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born August 13, 1940, in Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Clint William and Beulah Burrell Upton and wife of John Cecil Ezell. She was a member of Bryant Memorial Church. Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Ezell Shehan (Roger) of Spartanburg; sons, Gene Ezell (Veronica) of Pacolet and Robert Ezell (Kay) of Glendale; brother, Marshall Upton (Teresa) of Jonesville; sisters, Shirley Whiting and Helen Blanton, both of Gaffney; grandsons, Johnathan Shehan, Alex Ezell, Jeff and Jason Bishop; granddaughter, Tori Thompson; and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Ed Upton. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, December 17, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dennis Tessnier. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
