Elsie Dill Boyter, 91, of Moore, SC, was called by her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 23, 2010, at White Oak Manor after battling Alzheimer's disease. She fought until the very end but left with such peace. Born October 27, 1918, in Greenville County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Green and Martha Ann Lister Dill and the loving and devoted widow of George Stepp Boyter for 41 years. She was retired from Startex Mills where she worked in the spinning room for 46 years. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Boyter was a truly devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and loved flowers, being outdoors, and sharing time with her loving family. She always had a warm smile and kind word for everyone she met. Survivors include her daughter, Betty Boyter Phillips, a son, Walter Carroll Boyter, a granddaughter, Cathy Phillips Holland, a grandson, Randy Keith Phillips and his wife Angela Green Phillips, and a great-granddaughter, Cassidy Nicole Phillips, all of Moore. She was predeceased by twin sons, Ronald Boyter and Philip Boyter; and a sister, Minnie Ann Dill Miller. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2010, at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Samuel Byrum. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. The family is at the home of Betty Phillips and Cathy Holland.
