Eloise Bishop

Eloise Margaret Bishop, 88, of Spartanburg, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 8, 2011, at her home. Born January 10, 1923, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Lorenzy Herman and Effie Mae Jones Bishop. Miss Bishop was a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg, the Women in Construction Association, ROTO, Young At Heart, Yesterday Teens, the Lydia Sunday School Class, choir, and served on mission trips. She was a graduate of Pacolet High School and Robinson Business College and was employed as a secretary for 40 years with Montgomery-Crawford and General Supplies Store. Following her retirement, Eloise and her sister, Faye, enjoyed traveling to all the States, several countries', and cruises. Survivors include her sister, Faye Elizabeth Bishop of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by her brother, David L. Bishop. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 11, 2011, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, by Rev. Sal Barone. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside.
