Elliott Sprinkle

Elliott Teal Sprinkle, 91, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, February 4, 2016, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born October 1, 1924, in Rock Hill, SC, he was the son of the late Rev. William Jesse Sprinkle, Sr. and Trannie Williams Sprinkle and husband of the late Mildred Byars Sprinkle. Mr. Sprinkle was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Duke Power and was a member of Fernwood Baptist Church. Surviving is his son, Mark Elliott Sprinkle of Freeport, ME. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a brother, William Jesse Sprinkle, Jr.; and sisters, Frances S. Thorne and Alice S. Copeland. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday, Febuary 6, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Bailey E. Nelson. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum at a later date.
