Ellie Mae Taylor Bonner, 88, a lifelong resident of Mayo, died Friday, March 16, 2012, at Valley Falls Terrace. Born May 29, 1923, in Mayo, SC, she was the widow of Jack Dempsey Bonner, and daughter of the late Wade Hampton and Lula Cash Taylor. She attended Graham Chapel Wesleyan Church. Survivors include her son, Ronald Bonner of Mayo; daughter, Linda B. Harton of Spartanburg; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Roberta Painter of Spartanburg, Susie Johnson of Gaffney, and Regina Willis of Clinton. She was predeceased by her sons, David Bonner and Joseph Ray Bonner; and a brother, Robert Taylor. Mrs. Bonner will lie in state for public viewing 1:00-3:00 PM Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Graham Chapel Wesleyan Church in Mayo. A graveside service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Sunday, March 18, in Springhill Memorial Gardens, Chesnee, by the Rev. Preston Edmonds. The family will receive friends after the service in the Fellowship Building at Graham Chapel Wesleyan Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke's Free Medical Clinic, PO Box 3466, Spartanburg, SC 29304; or Graham Chapel Wesleyan Church, PO Box 129, Mayo, SC 29368.
