Elizabeth Welch

Elizabeth Cleveland Welch, 95, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013. Born January 10, 1918, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Conrad P. and Louise W. Cleveland, and the widow of John T. Welch Jr. She was a member of The Episcopal Church of the Advent. Survivors include her granddaughter, Elizabeth Cleveland Cobb; grandson, John Austin Cleveland Cobb; stepchildren, Ann Cobb Johnson and James David Cobb, Jr. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Dr. John Cleveland Cobb; sister, Mrs. Charles Henry Poole; and brother, Conrad P. Cleveland, Jr. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 16, 2013, in West Oakwood Cemetery, by the Rev. Stephen Y. McGehee.
