Elizabeth Satterfield

Elizabeth Nancy McFee Satterfield, 97, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, October 25, 2018, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born March 22, 1921, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Emory Green McFee and Irene Bishop McFee and widow of Isaac Wade Satterfield. Mrs. Satterfield was a member of Canaan Baptist Church for over 75 years and the Mary Grant Sunday School Class. She was known throughout the Canaan Community for her biscuits, serving skills, and being entirely devoted to her family. Surviving are her children, Jo Nell Fowler (Jerry), Carolyn McAbee (Howard), and Jenny Marr (James), all of Spartanburg, SC; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Beulah Turner of Spartanburg, SC; and daughter-in-law, Darlene Satterfield of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three sons, Leon, Gerald, and Don; grandchildren, Kenny Nelson, Robbie Satterfield, Marsha Kirkland, and Lisa Taylor; sisters, Doris Varner, Martha Varner, and Mae King; and brother, Joe McFee. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 28, 2018, in Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery, 701 Canaan Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29306, by The Rev. Jones Brewer and The Rev. Darrell Revels. Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Canaan Baptist Church. The family would like to thank all the friends in the Canaan Community for their care and visits. The family is at their respective homes.
