Elizabeth Rochester

Elizabeth Crocker Rochester, 66, of 990 White Plains Road, Gaffney, SC died Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born April 28, 1944, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Worth Bryant and Nell Hammett Crocker. Mrs. Rochester was a High School and College Math Professor who retired after thirty-plus years of teaching in a number of local High Schools and Colleges. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Danny Marcus Rochester, Sr.; a son, Danny Marcus Rochester, Jr. and his wife Sharon of Gaffney, SC; two daughters, Diana Rochester McCray and her husband Jim of Durham, NC and Julie Rochester Wooten and her husband Greg of Surfside Beach, SC; and a grandson, Jacob McCray of Durham, NC. She was predeceased by a daughter, Elizabeth Nell Rochester Potter. Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel followed by graveside services at 2:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Jerry Revels.
