Elizabeth Harrison Puette, 89, of Roebuck, died Friday, September 27, 2013 at Windsor House. Born December 6, 1923, in Spartanburg County, she was the widow of Charles Allen Puette, the love of her life for 52 years, and the daughter of the late Frank T. and Olevi Williams Harrison. She was a member of Roebuck Baptist Church for 57 years. She is survived by one son, Dr. John R, Puette of Cedar Point, NC; one daughter, Angie P. Foster (Glenn) of Moore, SC; one daughter-in-law, Donna W. Puette of Campobello, SC; seven grandchildren, James and Daniel Puette of Cedar Point, NC, Matthew Foster of Nashville, TN, Taryn F. Chumley (Case) of Reidville, SC, Kaylee Foster of Moore, SC, Courtney and Abby Puette of Campobello, SC; and one great-granddaughter, Ansleigh Elizabeth of Campobello, SC. Survivors also include one sister, Frances H. Hyatt; and one brother, Robert W. Harrison (Jo) of Inman, SC; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving son, W. Allen Puette and three brothers, and four sisters. Visitation will be 1:45-2:45 PM Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Roebuck Baptist Church, 1979 E. Blackstock Road, Roebuck, SC 29376. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Tim Williams and the Rev. Ondra Black. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC. Pallbearers will be Randy Hyatt, Frank Hyatt, Mike Hodges, Vernon Payne, Harry Bishop, Bobby Harrison and Case Chumley. Honorary escort will be members of the Dorcas Sunday School Class. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Roebuck Baptist Church, P.O. Box 490, Roebuck, SC 29376 or to Amedisys Hospice, 818 E. Main Street, Suite A, Spartanburg, SC 29306. The family would like to thank all the staff at Windsor House for taking such good care of our loved one. They would also like to thank Martha Christopher, her Amedisys Hospice nurse.
