Elizabeth Posey

Mrs. Elizabeth Nesbitt Posey, 96, formerly of Spartanburg, SC, died in Dalton, GA. on March, 19, 2010, at Hamilton Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Everett O. Posey; a daughter, Ann Hampton Posey; parents Joseph Silas Nesbitt and Fitzi Gaston Nesbitt of Duncan, SC; and seven siblings. She attended Winthrop College in Rock Hill, SC, and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and John McMillian of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Everett and Elizabeth McMillian of Greenville, SC; June and Ty Wheeler of Woodstock, GA; Chip and Rhonda McMillian of Milton, WV; and one great-grandchild, Katy Wheeler of Woodstock, GA. Graveside services will be held at the Nazareth Presbyterian Church, Moore, SC, on Monday, March 22, 2010, at 12:00 noon, conducted by the Reverend Robert C. Morgan.
