Elizabeth Jolley Nabow, 82, of Roebuck, formerly of Charlotte, NC, died Monday, June 6, 2011 at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care. Born December 14, 1928, in Cleveland County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Newton and Maggie Humphries Jolley. Elizabeth was a member of Temple B'Nai Israel, and was very active in the Temple Sisterhood. She did volunteer work with the Children's Shelter, Duke Energy Retiree's, and Total Ministries. She was a former member of Temple Beth El in Charlotte where she was also active in the Temple Sisterhood. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Stanley Ellman Nabow of the home; a son, Robert Nabow and wife Sandy of Spartanburg; two granddaughters, Amanda Goldberg of Charlotte, and Melissa Lesley of Spartanburg; a great-grandson, Joey Alan Lesley of Spartanburg; two sisters, Aileen Harrington of Gaffney, and Patsy Harmon of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and a brother, B. L. "Bob" Jolley of New Ellenton, SC. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by Rabbi Yossi Liebowitz.
