Ethel Elizabeth "Lib" Darby Loyless, 91, of 130 Midland Drive, died Monday morning, July 26, 2010, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Mrs. Loyless was born on September 17, 1918, a daughter of the late Fred Roy and Ethel Lou Hendrix Darby and was the widow of William Marion "Bill" Loyless. She was now a member of Central United Methodist Church (a lifelong member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church) and was retired from Citizens and Southern National Bank. Surviving are her daughter, Marian Loyless Ruff of Spartanburg; her son, William F. Loyless and his wife Pam of Spartanburg; her grandchildren, Marc D. Ruff, J. Alan Ruff and his wife Tanya, Anna Elizabeth Ruff and her fiancé Philip Stone, Amy L. Byers and her husband Mark, and Lori L. Stathakis and her husband Harry; her nine great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Ann Darby. Mrs. Loyless was predeceased by ten brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. J. Alan Ruff. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Family will be at the home of Bill and Pam Loyless, 121 White's Mill Way, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
