Elizabeth Anne Wilson Hale, 82, of Moore, SC, died Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at her residence. Born February 26, 1940 in Riverton, KS, she was the daughter of the late William Adrian and Lula Mae Smith Wilson.
Anne earned her Bachelor of Arts from Western Kentucky University, Magna Cum Laude while raising four children and teaching. She was a private music instructor for piano, flute and voice, and taught music at Western Kentucky University for over 20 years. During her later years, she was a physician’s secretary and worked in admissions for over 10 years at LifeSkills of Bowling Green, KY.
Anne loved her children and grandchildren dearly, puzzle books, an avid reader, and loved to play piano. She was a member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church of Inman, South Carolina.
Survivors include her children, Valerie Elizabeth Pickard (Simeon) of Bristol, TN, Jonathan Andrew Hale, Sr. (Charlene) of Lexington, KY, Markwood Anthony Hale (Alan) of Denver, CO, and Christopher Edward Hale (Laura) of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremiah, Jonna, Andrew, Wyatt, Kristin, Clay, David, Ryan; 13 great grandchildren; and her brother, William Wayne Wilson of Baxter Springs, KS. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, Jonathon Abraham Pickard.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Lake Bowen Baptist Church, 404 Sugar Ridge Road, Inman, SC 29349. Funeral service will be at 12:00 noon, at the church, conducted by The Rev. Brad Atkins. Private burial will follow.
