Mary Elizabeth Miller Gossett, 81, of Cross Anchor, died Friday, March 2, 2012 at Golden Age Nursing Home. Born November 9, 1930 in Pauline, she was the daughter of the late Stewart and Virginia Morrow Miller and wife of the late Lecil Gossett. Mrs. Gossett was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, a volunteer with the Cross Anchor Shriner's Auxiliary and loved her Lord and all her family. Surviving are two sons, Charles Gossett and wife Debra of Pauline and Lee Gossett and wife Jennifer of Enoree; two grandchildren, Caleb Gossett and Baileigh Gossett; three sisters, Patricia Compos of Pauline, Eleanor Youngblood of Putnam, and Jane Waters of New Bern, NC; two brothers, George Miller of Abbeville and W. L. Miller of Colorado. She was predeceased by a brother, Lewis Miller. Visitation will be 12:45-1:45 PM Monday, March 5, 2012 at Yarborough Chapel, Yarborough United Methodist Church, Cross Anchor. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM in the church cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Robert Jarvis and Chaplain Dean Elliott. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P.O. Box 127, Landrum, SC 29356. The family is at the home of her son, Lee Gossett, 220 East Blackstock Road, Enoree, SC.
