Elizabeth Cook

Elizabeth Turner Cook, 85, of Pacolet, SC, died Thursday, May 17, 2018, at her home following an extended illness. Born June 8, 1932, in Union County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Beulah Shields Turner. Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Roy E. Cook; two daughters, Judy and Vickie; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Reba T. Millwood and Kathleen T. Seay, both of Spartanburg, SC; and brother, Robert W. Turner of Spartanburg, SC. She is predeceased by her sister, Joyce T. Hall; and brothers, Edmund Turner, Billy Turner, Harold Turner, and Carol Turner. Elizabeth was a member of Pacolet First Baptist Church and former member of Goucher Baptist Church, Gaffney, SC. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Sunday, May 20, 2018, at Pacolet First Baptist Church, 310 W. Main St., Pacolet, SC 29372, with funeral services following at 3:00 PM, conducted by The Rev. Tommy Sparks. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
