Eleanor Sanderson Bush, 84, of Spartanburg, died Friday, June 7, 2013, at White Oak Manor-Spartanburg. The daughter of the late Asbury and Cora Shuler Sanderson, she was born September 18, 1928, in Miami, FL, moved to Rock Hill, SC in 1934, and graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1945. She worked in the shipping office at Rock Hill Printing and Finishing Co. and later as a secretary at Bellview School. Mrs. Bush was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Spartanburg and a former member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Rock Hill. She served on the Alter Guild, Worship, Building and Grounds, Parsonage committees; was a member of the Blanch Greer Circle, UMW and the 49'ers of St. Paul; life member of the SC Garden Club; member of the Hillbrook Merry Tiller Garden Club; and Daughters of the Confederacy. In Rock Hill, she was a charter member of the Fleur De Lis Garden Club, Junior Women's Club, and Rock Hill Women's Club. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Clark T. Bush, Jr.; two sons, Clark S. Bush (Sandra) of Rock Hill and Mark D. Bush (Kathy) of Spartanburg; four granddaughters, Kimberly Hill, Jennifer Comer of Rock Hill, Melissa Coy and Caroline Bush of Spartanburg; one great-grandson, T. J. Hill of Rock Hill. Visitation will be 10:00-10:45 AM Monday, June 10, 2013, at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the church, conducted by the Rev. Frank E. Lybrand. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM in Laurelwood Cemetery in Rock Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1320 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. The family is at the home.
