Elbert Henry Moore, 80, died Saturday, November 27, 2010, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born September 2, 1930, in Duckhill, MS, he was a son the late Guy George and Floyce Beatrice Tart Moore. He was a retired U.S. Army 1st Sergeant, serving 21 years during the Korean War, the Korean Occupation, and two tours of the Vietnam War. He was also retired after 20 years as a filament technician at Hoechst Fibers. Mr. Moore was an avid fisherman, a member of the Hoechst Fishing Club, and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Juanita Scalf Moore; three daughters, Carol McSwain and husband Richard, Helen Burns, and Ellen Tillotson and husband Stan, all of Boiling Springs; two sons, Gregory Moore and wife Son Chi of Atlanta, GA, and Robert Moore and wife Robin of Boiling Springs; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Guy; and a sister, Alma. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Danny Garrett.
