Elaine Sellers Stanford, beloved wife, friend, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She was born on June 12, 1934, in Meridian, Mississippi, to the late Charles Sellers Sr. and Lottie Lyles Sellers.

Elaine led a fulfilling life surrounded by the things she cherished most. Her hobbies included golfing, sewing, reading, and showering affection on her furry companions as she was an avid animal lover. Elaine's commitment to her interests reflected her vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication to the things loved. Married to her devoted husband, Paul C. Stanford, for 40 years, Elaine found joy and comfort in their shared journey. A proud member of Harborview Presbyterian Church in Charleston, SC, for over two decades, she found solace and community in her faith.

Elaine is survived by her loving niece; Leslie Sellers- Anderson (Rick); Elaine's life was enriched by her friends and caregivers. Janet Waters, Vickie Connor, Sarah Soto, Brandy Peoples, Amy Godfrey, and Ciera Gentry, they provided unwavering support compassion and kindness to her. Elaine was predeceased by her husband; Paul C. Stanford, father; Charles Sellers Sr., mother; Lottie Mae Lyles-Sellers, a brother; Buddy Sellers, nephew; Jeff Sellers and her adored pet poodle, Bebe, who brought laughter and warmth to her days.

A Graveside Service to honor and remember Elaine Sellers Stanford will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024, at 12 O’clock in the afternoon at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd Spartanburg, SC 29307.
