Edward Lorr

Edward William Lorr, 65, of Cowpens, died Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born December 20, 1946 in Westchester, IL, he was the son of the late Arthur C. and Alice Gertrude Cleeburg Lorr and husband of Peggy Easterling Lorr. He was a trainer and maintenance electrician at the former Hoechst-Celanese Corporation, a member of Oakdale Baptist church, and a Mason who enjoyed people. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and dancing. He was our best friend, a wonderful husband, fantastic father, and a great papaw. Survivors, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Matthew Allen Lorr and wife Misty of Cowpens, and William Casey Lorr and wife Ryen of Gaffney; four grandchildren, Isaac Christopher Lorr, Caleb Austin Lorr, Kalin Aiyana Lorr, and Maya Alayni Lorr; and a sister, Florence June Frase of Lumbar, IL. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Mike Royal. Visitation will follow the service at the home of Edward and Peggy Lorr. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastside Baptist Church, 1850 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307 or Oakdale Baptist Church, 225 Oakdale Road, Cowpens, SC 29330.
