Edward DeFoix Huskey, 87, of Roebuck, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at his home. He was born on June 22, 1936, in the Clifton community of Spartanburg, a son of the late James Guy and Annie Belle Chapman Huskey. DeFoix was married to the late Shirley Ann Riddle Huskey.
DeFoix was a member of El Bethel United Methodist Church where he attended the E. W. Brown Sunday School Class and served as a former scoutmaster. He enjoyed a long career at Arkwright Mills where he retired after 50 years of faithful service.
Surviving are his son, Edward E. Huskey (Jonnie); his daughters, Debra Huskey Terry and Annette Huskey Parker (Dale); his grandchildren, Chad Huskey (Beth), Tonya Parker (Erin), Amanda Kirby (Todd), Megan Durham (Chris), Christopher Wallace (Elise) and Carly Carson (Patrick); his great-grandchildren, Kadyn, Joleen, Hannah, Courtney, Bailey, Ava, Kennedy, and Kendrick; a sister, Lavonia (Tommy); and his four-legged child, “Buddy”. DeFoix was predeceased by his brother, Ronald Huskey (Sue).
Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Tommy Hill and the Rev. Jack Caldwell. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
