Edward H. Bright, 85, of Spartanburg, died Monday, March 14, 2011 at Dillon Pointe. Born May 30, 1925, in Tucapa, SC, he was the son of the late Leonard and Minnie Smith Bright and husband of the late Juanita Bright. Mr. Bright was a retired U. S. Postal worker, a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a former employee of Spartan Automotive. Survivors include two sons, Floyd Bright and wife Marilynn of Lyman, and Don Bright and wife Margaret of Roebuck; three grandsons, Chip Bright and wife Dana and Chris Bright, all of Spartanburg, and Tony Crain of Roebuck; two granddaughters, Heather Rauschenberger and husband Tory of Taylors, and Candice Bright of Spartanburg. Ten great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Warren of Greer and Shirley Bloxham of Duncan. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. C. Brian Gilmer. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside.
