Edward N. Arida, 78, of Inman, SC, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born February 5, 1936, in West Haven, CT, he was the son of the late Moses and Mary S. Arida. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Arida was a member of Casey Creek Baptist Church in Chesnee, a Shriner, an Elks Club member, and former employee of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. Survivors include his beloved wife of 32 years, Virginia Mae Blackwood Arida; daughters, Rebecca A. Olson of the home, Linda S. Hartley (Anthony) of Colorado, and Diane Smith of California; grandchildren, Nikki Morris and Molly Hartley, both of the home, Michael Olson of Lyman, SC, Travis Schmidt and T. J. Hartley, both of Colorado; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lillian O'Keefe and Lorraine Tuccero, both of Boston, MA. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Bobby Arida. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, March 14, 2014, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, by the Rev. Todd Lyda.
