Edna Rorick McCraw, 87, of Spartanburg, died Friday, October 21, 2011, at St. Francis East Hospital, Greenville, SC. Born July 3, 1924, in Fort Wayne, IN, she was a daughter of the late Nathan James and Liliosa Mary Sorg Rorick and the widow of Earl C. McCraw, Sr. She was a former secretary at Reeves Bros. and a member of The Catholic Church of Jesus Our Risen Savior where she was a member of a prayer group and Bible study group. She was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy. Survivors include three sons, Earl C. "Tim" (Joan) McCraw, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Nathan Jay (Anne) McCraw of Murfreesboro, TN, and Christopher Alan (Robin) McCraw of Greenville, SC; two daughters, Theresa "Terry" (Dean) Aldrich and Lisa (Josh) Varat, all of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Virginia Eversole and Alberta Rorick, both of Oregon; grandchildren, Karen Shields, Edna Coryell, Erin McCraw, Richard E. McCraw, Christopher William "Will" McCraw, Case Aldrich, Maria Varat, and Jordan Varat; and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. McCraw was predeceased by five brothers, Robert, James, William, David, and John Rorick; and three sisters, Catherine Hartman, Mary Newman, and Evelyn Trable. The Rosary Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, October 24, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, with visitation to follow. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at The Catholic Church of Jesus Our Risen Savior, conducted by the Rev. Ted Kalaw. Burial with military rites by the SC State Guard Honors Team will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
