Edna Mason

Edna Steadings Mason, 83, of Boiling Springs, SC, wife of the late Charles E, Mason, died Friday, November 24, 2017, at Rosecrest. Born May 31, 1934, to the late Phoner Edna Millwood and Henry Grady Steadings, she was a graduate of Pacolet High School 1952. Mrs. Mason is survived by two daughters, Charlene Mason of Seneca, and Gayle Leitke (Bob) of Greenville; one son, Wayne Mason (Marion Ann Johnson Mason) of Startex; one granddaughter, Kari Mason of Spartanburg; Grandma to Kesley Carter of Clemson; a sister, Easter S. Fisher of Pacolet; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother Charles F. Steadings; brothers-in-law, Bobby Fisher, Harold and Lola Mae High Mason, Robert L. and Mary Henderson Mason. She was an employee of Spartan Industrial Supply Co. for 45 years and was a member of Northbrook Baptist Church of Boiling Springs, SC. Mrs. Mason loved her Lord Jesus Christ, her church and Sunday School Class. She enjoyed going on the summer mission trips with her church where she served as a cook. She was a former member of Pacolet First Baptist Church, a member of Glendale Chapter #175 Order of the Eastern Star and the Palmetto Obedience Training Club. Visitation will be 2:00 - 2:45 PM Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Northbrook Baptist Church, with services following at 3:00 PM conducted by the Rev. Benny Green. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northbrook Baptist Church Building Fund, 1881 Boiling Springs Rd., Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Honorary Escort will be the Adult 6 Sunday School Classes.
