Edna Mae Pruitt Dickson, 88, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, January 10, 2016, at the Brookdale Skylyn senior living community in Spartanburg. Born June 7, 1927, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late John Cleveland Pruitt and Maggie Byars Pruitt and widow of Robert Thomas Dickson. After her husband passed away 15 years ago, Mrs. Dickson moved to Brookdale Skylyn. There, she participated in many activities and made new friends. She enjoyed listening to country music and outings to local parks. Survivors include her nephew, Ron Lawter of Yardley, PA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Ray G. Pruitt, Ralph Pruitt, and Broadus E. Pruitt; and sisters, Elease Lawter and Thelma Seay. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A cryptside service will follow at 2:00 PM with Reverend Gerald Jarrett officiating.
