Edna Louise LeMaster Davis, 79, of 2950 East Main Street, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2009, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home after a brief illness. Born September 7, 1929, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mae Holcombe LeMaster and the wife of the late Charles N. Davis, Sr. She was the former co-owner of Davis Floor Sanding and Insulating, a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, and a volunteer with Spartanburg Regional Hospice and Mobile Meals. She is survived by one son, Charles Davis, Jr., and one daughter, Susan Davis Cantrell, both of Spartanburg; two granddaughters, Tammy E. Whaley of Spartanburg, and Caren Valdez of Colorado Springs, CO; a daughter-in-law, Carol Davis of Tennessee; three great-grandsons, Joey Bacon, Chris Valdez, and Alex Valdez of Colorado Springs, CO; a special grand dog, "Spot" Whaley of Spartanburg; and one brother, Carroll LeMaster and his wife Lucille of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by a son, Danny E. Davis of Spartanburg; and a sister, Betty LeMaster Luna of Fremont, CA. Visitation will be 1:30-3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. Mike Irvin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303; or to Mobile Meals Service, P. O. Drawer 419, Spartanburg, SC 29304. The family is at the home of her daughter, Susan Cantrell, 1121 Fairview Church Road, Spartanburg.
