Edna Bogan

Edna Louise Bogan, 87, of Irmo, SC, died Sunday, July 28, 2013, at The Heritage at Lowman, Chapin, SC. Born January 4, 1926, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Elijah Herman and Zena Alma Sawyer Putman, and wife of the late Jesse Cleveland Bogan, Jr. Mrs. Bogan was retired from Sears after 35 years of service. She was a member of Arcadia Baptist Church and a member of Eastern Star. Survivors include her children, Patricia West (Dean) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Dr. Richard Bogan (Shannon) and Kenneth Bogan (Kathi), all of Columbia, SC, and Robert Bogan (Lisa) of St. Matthews, SC; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Dean Putman of Spartanburg, SC. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 31, 2013, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Sal Barone. Visitation will follow in the mausoleum chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lutheran Homes of SC Foundation, Lutheran Hospice, PO Box 3328, Irmo, SC 29063.
