Edith Cooper Elliott, 70, of 6019 Parris Bridge Road, died Monday, May 17, 2010, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born January 10, 1940, in Rutherfordton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Raleigh and Edna Oliver Cooper and the wife of the late Joe Frank Elliott. She was formerly employed with Spinx at Highway 9 and Parris Bridge Road for ten years. She was a member of Alverson Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, feeding hummingbirds, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Burnett and husband Mike of Gaffney; two sons, Terry Elliott and wife Angela of Spartanburg, and Danny Elliott and wife Christie of Boiling Springs; a sister, Margaret Carr of Inman; two brothers, John "Bud" Cooper of Gaffney, and Billy Cooper of Spartanburg; four grandchildren, Kelly Morris, Brandon Burnett, Reid Elliott, and Mason Elliott; and a sister in Christ and close friend, Vickie Estep. She was predeceased by two sisters, Carrie Lee Henderson and Penny Harris; and a brother, Joe Hoyt Cooper. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel conducted by the Rev. Danny Garrett and the Rev. Kris Showen.
