Eddie Shaffer

Eddie A. Shaffer, 63, of Spartanburg, SC died Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at his home. Born September 25, 1958 in Fort Bragg, NC, he was the son of Margaret Florine Puckett Shaffer and the late Andrew Lee Shaffer.

A Clemson and Duke University fan, he was also a Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR fan.

A man of not so many words, Eddie was very kind-hearted. He loved people, loved to laugh, and was, at times, silly. He cared deeply for his dog, Daisy, and his cat, Sophie. He was such a good daddy and adored his granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Donna Shaffer of the home, their sons, Andy Shaffer (Olivia) of Greenwood, SC, Joseph Shaffer (Autumn) of Spartanburg, SC and Harley Shaffer of Greenville, SC, and their granddaughter, Mallory Shaffer of Spartanburg, SC. He was predeceased by a daughter, Morgan Shaffer, brothers, Richie Shaffer and Mike Shaffer, and a sister-in-law, Debbie Shaffer.

Visitation will be at 5:00 – 5:45 pm Friday, August 12, 2022 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Celebration of Life service will be at 6:00 pm at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. Tim Hackett and The Rev. Canon Paul Jagoe.
