Eddie Karl Fisher, age 62, of Spartanburg, SC, departed this world for his eternal home in Heaven, Thursday, March 14, 2024. A native of Spartanburg, he was born on March 29, 1961, and was the son of Jimmy Lloyd Fisher and the late, Bobbie Trantham Fisher. He was predeceased by a brother, Jimmy Lloyd Fisher Jr. Eddie's zest for life came from loving and serving the Lord. He was saved on July 10, 1988, at Manna Baptist Church in Glendale SC. His life verse is Psalm 34: 6, “This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.”
He was the adult Sunday School teacher at Manna Baptist Church for many years. He always started his class with a joke or good story. He was a preacher of the gospel and would fill in whenever needed. His love for God's Word, his faithfulness to his Church family and friends were evident to all who knew him.
He was a very devoted husband, father, and papaw. Some of his favorite things to do were hopping in the car with his wife to take the back roads wherever they may lead. He loved dinner and game nights with his family, especially enjoying his daughter, Krista's home cooking and desserts. He loved lunch dates with his daughter, Courtney.
His three grandchildren brought him immense pride and joy. Whether it was school plays, ballgames, or a special event, he was right there cheering them on. He was so proud of each of them and was so thankful that he got to live to see them trust Christ as their Savior.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Wanda, daughter, Krista Spencer and husband, Philip, daughter, Courtney McDade and husband, Cody, three grandchildren, Heidi, Jaxon and Gentry Spencer.
