Earl Henline

Earl Eugene Henline, 88, of Inman, died Wednesday, January 13, 2010. Born March 22, 1921, in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Martin and Annie Baynard Henline. He was a retired bookkeeper at Oates Oil Company after many years of service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Central Church of Christ where he was a former Deacon and Treasurer. Survivors include his wife, Massie Kelly Henline; a daughter, Deborah Wold and husband Bill of Inman; two sons, Michael Eugene Henline of Spartanburg, and H. Steven Henline and wife Nancy of Lyman; a sister, Vera Henline of Forest City, NC; four grandsons, Steven Phillip Rogers and Michael Wold, both of Inman, Mark Rogers of Greensburg, IN, and Samuel Henline of Spartanburg; a granddaughter, Kerry Henline of Spartanburg; and three great-grandchildren, Tristen, A. J., and Chloe. He was predeceased by two brothers, Paul and William Henline; and a sister, Thelma R. Harding. Visitation will be 2:00-3:45 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2010, at Central Church of Christ. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Church conducted by Mr. Ernie Thigpen. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Palmetto Bible Camp or Southeastern Children's Home, c/o Central Church of Christ, 2030 North Church Street Place, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family will be at the home of his son, Gene Henline, 100 Ormond Drive, Spartanburg, from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2010.
