E. Denise Garrett Smith, 65, of Lexington, SC died Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at her home. Born May 8, 1955 in Union, SC, she was the daughter of Gladys Kerr Garrett and the late Theodore Monroe Garrett Jr. A graduate of The University of South Carolina, Mrs. Smith was a retired registered nurse from Lexington Medical Center. She was a former Director of Employee Health Clinic at Spartanburg Medical Center, and Consultant of Occupational Health at Stanford University Medical Center, specializing in infectious disease and prevention. Mrs. Smith was an avid baker and gardener and attended Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church in Lexington, SC. Survivors include her husband of 11 years, Todd Smith; daughters, Kim Arledge (Darrell) of Duncan, SC, Nicole Smith of Columbia, SC; Jessica Cook (Billy) and Courtney Smith all of Lexington, SC; grandsons, Hayden Arledge and Bilton Cook; sister, Pamela Foster (Gary) of Inman, SC and nieces and nephews, Justin Gardner, Adam Warner, Seth Warner, Ben Warner, Matthew Graham, Chelsea Wood and Jacob McGinn. She was predeceased by a sister, Cindy Warner. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens, 4081 Hwy 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. The family is at their respective homes.
