Drake Cothran

Phillip Robert Drake Cothran, 24, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, May 27, 2016 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born April 5, 1992, in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of Michael Ray and Anita Jones Cothran of Spartanburg. A friend to all he met and a prankster with a great sense of humor, Drake lived life large! He had a strong love and admiration for his daughter, "the apple of his eye." He was a Christian, rededicating his life to the Lord in September 2013. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Lillian Ava Cothran of Greer, SC; maternal grandmother, Betty Jones of Lyman, SC; paternal grandmother, Alyce Caulder of Campobello, SC; sister, Victoria "Torri" Cothran of Greer, SC; and a large number of additional family members. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 2, 2016, in Wood Memorial Park, Gap Creek Rd., Greer, SC 29651, by Joe Floyd.
