Dr. Troutman

Robert "Bob" L. Troutman, 82, of RoseCrest Retirement Community, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Born March 4, 1932, in Iredell County, NC, he was the son of the late Percy Love and Nonnie LaRue Troutman, and husband, for 52 years, of the late Margaret Lineberger Troutman. He was a former pastor and served the Lutheran Church in various leadership roles. Survivors include a son, David Troutman and his wife Susan of Greenville, SC; grandson, Stephen Troutman and his wife Chelsey of Greer, SC; and two granddaughters, Heather and Meghan Troutman, both of Greenville, SC. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:30 PM Thursday, September 4, 2014 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 415 S. Pine St., Spartanburg, SC 29302, by The Rev. Mike Shackelford, The Rev. Ralph Hill, and The Rev. Emily Edenfield with a reception following. A committal service will be conducted at 1:30 PM Friday, September 5, 2014, in Oakwood Cemetery, 114 N. Oakwood Dr., Statesville, NC 28677, by The Rev. Robert G. Coon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to NovusWay Ministries, Inc.
