Dr. Ballard

Dr. Kevin Dale Ballard, 49, son of Ted and Ruth Ballard of Spartanburg, died Monday, May 4, 2009, at his home in Upper Black Eddy, PA. Born October 27, 1959, in Victorville, CA, he was a 1977 graduate of Spartanburg High School, a 1980 graduate of Wofford College, and received an M.D. and Ph D from the Medical University of South Carolina. Kevin was Director of Analysis and Toxicology at National Medical Services, Willow Grove, PA. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 pm. Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Spartanburg, Davis Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Don Wilton, the Rev. Sam Davis, and the Rev. Sal Barone. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Complex. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Frederic Rieders Family Renaissance Foundation, 2300 Stratford Avenue, Willow Grove, PA 19090. This foundation supports young scientists. The family is at the home of his parents, 261 Lake Forest Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
