Douglas Powers

Douglas Edgar Powers, 77, of Inman, SC, died Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born March 8, 1936, in Reidville, SC, he was the son of the late Raymond Berry and Flora Cornelia Davis Powers. Mr. Powers was the owner of Powers Printing Company, Inc., for 35 years. He was a member of Spartanburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Patricia Gilbert Powers; daughters, Tami King (Bryan) of Moore, SC, and Andrea Powers and David Ian Pendlebury of Inman, SC; grandchildren, Catherine Jackson of Inman, SC, Caroline King of Moore, SC, and Grant Jackson; and brothers, Herbert Powers (Arleen) of Enoree, SC, and Lee Powers (Pat) of Spartanburg, SC. He was predeceased by a sister, Patsy Blackwell. The family will conduct services at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Spartanburg Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1217 John B. White Sr. Blvd., Spartanburg, SC 29306, with the Pastor David Dobias officiating. Visitation will follow at the church. Private burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
