Douglas Cohen

Douglas, "Doug" Cohen, 56, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, December 27, 2009, at his home. Born February 23, 1953, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Sonia Robbins Cohen of Coventry, RI, and the late Herbert Cohen. He was the former president of Glenco Hosiery Mill and a retired sales representative with Adam International. Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, Ellen Stirzaker Cohen; a sister, Laurie Tyce and husband Robert of Coventry, RI; and two nephews, Charles Tyce and Oliver Tyce of Coventry, RI. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, December 29, 2009, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by Rabbi Yossi Liebowitz. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
