Dottie Cathcart

Dottie Cathcart, 73, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, July 03, 2017, at her home. Born May 30, 1944, in Belpre, OH, she was the daughter of Hazel Norma Reed Maze of Belpre, OH and the late William Hugh Maze. Mrs. Cathcart loved her grandchildren. She was an avid traveler and lover of animals. She retired from Flagstar Companies, Inc. after 20 years of service and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband of 31 years, Melvin S. Cathcart; children, Tami and Greg Kight of Spartanburg, Greg and Katy Pickeral of Boiling Springs, and Gina and Michael Chisner of Savannah; grandchildren, Abby and Matthew Pickeral, Grayson and Allie Malone; sisters, Janice Marchesa of Cape Coral, FL and Barbara Marks of Belpre, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Friday, July 7, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by The Rev. M. Carson Rogerson III. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
