Doshia Blackwell

Doshia Blackwell, 83, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, January 3, 2014, at her home. Born March 26, 1930, in Yancey County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Luther Carl and Katie Randolph Blackwell. She was retired from Skylyn Place and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are three daughters, Kelly Blackwell of Inman, Jackie Vise of Spartanburg, SC, and Debbie Porter of Wellford, SC; two sons, Paul Blackwell of Irondale, AL and Franklin Blackwell of Spartanburg, SC; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, Jayce Harrison; two brothers, Steve Blackwell of Inman, SC and Jesse Blackwell of Spartanburg, SC; and two sisters, Betty Jean Mathis of Boiling Springs and Barbara Ann Fowler of Inman, SC. Visitation will be 12:30 PM-1:45 PM January 6, 2014, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4081 Highway 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. Funeral services will follow at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Alan Ruff. Burial will be in Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery, 1175 Melvin Hill Road, Campobello, SC 29322.
