Dorothy "Dot" Deberry

Dorothy “Dot” White DeBerry, 100, of Jefferson, GA, died Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Walden’s Cove Personal Care Home. Born August 3, 1921 in Metter, GA, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Cora Lee Clifton White.

A US Army WWII Air Corp veteran, Mrs. DeBerry was retired from the Peachtree Plaza Hotel. She was of the Methodist faith. Dot loved her family and friends, enjoyed cooking, helping people, and volunteered with Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include her daughters, Sueann Fisher of Dallas, GA, Nancy Bolen of Jefferson, GA, her son, Charles DeBerry, of Florida, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by a son, Robert DeBerry, and 12 siblings. She was the last of her generation.

The family will receive friends and family at 1:00 -1:45 PM Monday, December 6, 2021 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, at the chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
