Dorothy Young

Dorothy Davidson Young, 86, of Chesnee, died Monday, July 13, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born June 27, 1923, in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Emily Davidson and the wife of the late Lewis "Bill" Young. She was retired from Harley Bag and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include three sons, Louis Young and his wife Margery of Chesnee, Michael Young and his wife Libby of Spartanburg, and Russell Young and his wife Debbie of Inman; a niece, Edith Copeland of Fingerville; eleven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and her beloved pet, Rascal. She was predeceased by two sisters, Neva Davidson and Evelyn Eaace. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at Good Shepherd Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. Douglas Thrift. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
