Dorothy "Dot" Louise Calloway Steadman, 93, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, February 5, 2015, at Magnolia Manor. Born November 7, 1921, in Franklin, NC, she was the daughter of the late James and Carrie Jacobs Calloway, and widow of Arden Leon Steadman. Mrs. Steadman was a member of First Baptist North Spartanburg, Circle of Friends, and Saints Alive Senior Group. She was a business owner, homemaker, and the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are her children, Brenda Staselavage of Spartanburg, SC, and Michael Steadman(George Brown) of Hendersonville, NC; granddaughters, Wilenda Turner, Dawn Blackwell (Johnny), and Ginger Shields (Jeff); great-grandchildren, Jordon, Rebekah, Angel, Taryn, T.J., Tinsley, Carrie, Brittany, and Jennifer, and great-great-granddaughter, Makinley. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Sunday, February 8, 2015, in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens, 125 Ft. Prince Rd., Wellford, SC 29385, by the Rev. Dewain Phillips and the Rev. Bo Trotter. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 260 Fairwinds Road, Landrum, SC 29356. The family is at the home of Ginger Shields.
