Dorothy Smith

Dorothy "Dot" Hall Smith, 83, of Inman, SC died Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born August 6, 1937 in Spartanburg, SC she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Hessie Willet Hall and widow of Ladson Samuel Smith. Mrs. Smith was a member of Crossway Church, formerly Arcadia Freewill Baptist and enjoyed serving her church family. Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Boyd (Mark) of Inman, SC; son, Ricky Smith (Susan) of Dickson, TN; grandchildren, Joshua Smith (Briele), Adam Smith, Erica Boyd; great-grandsons, Ashton, Adien, and Evan and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by grandson, Matthew Tyler Boyd. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 12, 2020 in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens, 125 Fort Prince Road, Wellford, SC 29385 conducted by The Rev. Dr. Kevin Smith and Pastor Javon Ruff. Visitation will follow at the graveside. The family will be at the home of Sheila Boyd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
