Dorothy Shriver

Dorothy Mullin Shriver, 101, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Magnolia Manor - Spartanburg. Born November 20, 1913, in Cherry Run, WV, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Firey and Clara Benner Mullin and widow of Willard E. Shriver. Mrs. Shriver was a member of Glendale Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Walter L. French (Vivian) of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Debbie Burnett (Brad) of Greer, SC, Pam F. Moore (Harry) of Spartanburg, SC and Kim F. Gregg (Michael); seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Samuel Mullins and sisters, Goldie M. Powell, Cora Rhoe, Gladys Mullins, and Madeline Rich Wise. Visitation will be held from 1:00-1:45 PM on Friday, May 15, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, with funeral services following at 2:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. Daniel Blackwell. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, 2938 Charles Town Rd., Martinsburg, WV 25405 at a later date. Memorials may be made to Glendale Baptist Church Bus Fund, PO Box 268, Glendale, SC 29346.
