Dorothy Sherbert

Dorothy "Dot" Painter Sherbert, 83, of 3235 Boiling Springs Road, died Friday, January 18, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born May 5, 1929, in Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late George Albert and Addie Belcher Painter and widow of Fred Sherbert. She was retired from Drayton Mills after 42 years of service and a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Mrs. Sherbert is survived by a sister, Sybil Painter Berry of Spartanburg; a special nephew, James Preston Metcalf (Natalie) of Pauline; a special great-nephew, Drew Metcalf (Lindsay) of Roebuck; her special grandbabies, Reagan and Jamey Metcalf of Roebuck; and many other nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 21, 2013, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Andy Case. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside.
